Merchant cash advance

MCA restructuring vs. settlement

Two different conversations, neither guaranteed.

Three people talk in a bright conference room. Temporary photograph. Not a client, testimonial, or case result.

Restructuring and settlement are different requests. Restructuring usually asks whether future payments can take a different shape. Settlement usually asks whether an amount can be resolved on agreed terms. The labels in a contract may not match these plain words.

Neither request is accepted because it was asked. A funder can decline, ignore, or counter. One path is not presented here as more successful than the other. This website does not publish a success rate.

What stays true of both

  • The current withdrawals continue unless the other party agrees to a change
  • A proposal is not a new contract
  • Other positions, if any, are not included automatically
